The 20-20-20 rule for screen eyes
Digital eye strain (dry, tired, blurry-feeling eyes after screens) comes mostly from reduced blinking and constant near-focus. The fix used by eye-care professionals worldwide: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet (6 m) away for 20 seconds. Add conscious full blinks, keep the screen an arm's length away with its top at eye level (see the diagram), and consider artificial tears if dryness persists.
Honest answers to two common hopes
"Can eye exercises get rid of my glasses?" No — and any tool promising that would be misleading you. Refractive errors (myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism) come from the physical shape of the eye, not weak muscles; decades of research show exercises do not change the prescription. What is real: exercises can ease convergence problems and screen fatigue, and in children, doctors can slow myopia progression with outdoor time, specific lenses or drops — prescribed by an eye specialist, not a website.
"Could my blurry vision be cataract?" Possibly — typical signs are cloudy or dim vision, glare and halos around lights at night, faded colours, and frequent prescription changes, usually after 50. No calculator can check this: diagnosis takes a simple, painless eye exam. If those symptoms sound familiar, book an ophthalmologist — modern cataract surgery is one of the safest, most successful operations in medicine, and earlier assessment means easier decisions.

Reduce static time

Escalate persistent symptoms
